New Sony LED TVs ready for November release

4th September 2009 | Comments

To further compliment their exquisite range of Bravia LED TVs, Sony has just announced the new ZX5 series featuring wireless connectivity and 240Hz Motionflow technology.

As if that alone wasn’t enough to drool over, the ZX5 series is only 15.8mm thick, and comes with its own separate media receiver enabling you to wirelessly stream your music, pictures and video over your WiFi network.

The only minor pitfall is that Sony has opted for the currently popular edge-lit LED technology, lagging behind manufacturers such as Sharp with its full LED backlit range. Whether or not this has a negative impact on sales will remain to be seen.

The ZX5 series is released in Japan in November of this year, so we’ll have to wait and see whether Sony introduces the series into the UK market in time for Christmas.
